TBayTel’s New Telephone DirectoryCan you identify what is in each of the photographs shown on the front cover of the 2008-2009 Telephone Directory?TBayTel has grown with our community. A community that depends heavily on reliable communication no matter where we are or what we're doing. The power of communication is mighty and our history and our lives have been greatly affected by it. By layering a multiplicity of images in a casual, personal way, we hoped to reflect the intimate relationship that TBayTel has enjoyed with the community - sort of a family scrapbook. We hope you like it. TBayTel has been an integral part of growth in Northwestern Ontario for over 100 years. As the first communications provider in Fort William and Port Arthur, an early TBayTel provided an essential service that helped spur the growth of two burgeoning towns and greatly influenced the lives of residents, businesses, and visitors. These pioneering efforts were, and are still, felt in Thunder Bay and throughout the region. For inspiration in designing this year's cover we looked back over TBayTel's long history. We loved seeing the historic images that revealed communication changes whether they were devices, architecture, employees, or simply icons of the past. Recycle Your Old TBayTel Telephone DirectoriesTBayTel encourages all residents to recycle their old Telephone Directories.
